SafeRedact is not a traditional cloud web application. It is a client-side WebAssembly and HTML5 Canvas application that executes 100% inside your computer or smartphone's volatile memory (RAM).

• Zero Backend Ingestion: We have no document processing servers, no Amazon S3 buckets, and no cloud databases.
• Airplane Mode Proof: You can load SafeRedact, turn off your Wi-Fi or disconnect your internet cable, and redact your entire PDF completely offline.
• No Telemetry of Files: Neither our team nor any third party can ever inspect what documents you open or which fields you blackout.

2. The "True Raster Flattening" Breakthrough

Did you know that standard PDF annotation tools (including Adobe Acrobat and preview apps) often fail to properly sanitize files? When you draw a black rectangle in basic editors, the raw text often remains intact underneath the black box — anyone can copy-paste the hidden text or delete the rectangle.

SafeRedact pioneered High-DPI True Raster Flattening (2.0x DPI). When you export, the entire document is permanently converted into pure raster pixels, burning the redaction masks directly into the image bitmap. All underlying OCR glyphs, fonts, and vector layers are irreversibly destroyed. Recovery is mathematically impossible.

3. 100% Free Public Utility

Privacy should not be a luxury subscription. We built SafeRedact as a public benefit utility:

• No Watermarks: We never plaster ugly branding or watermarks across your professional documents.
• No Page Limits: Redact 1 page or 100 pages without paywalls.
